Great Divide Tour

Our most popular tour and the longest in both in length (16 km) and duration (1.5 hours). Your exuberant team will carry you through some of the park’s most stunning scenery to the Kicking Horse Pass at the Continental Divide. On the return journey your guide will encourage you to “stand on the runners” alongside them, and take a turn driving the team home! There will be plenty of opportunity to get to know your dogs and take some memorable photos.

The Great Alone Tour

Experience our Great Divide Tour on your own private trip! Take in the breathtaking scenery of the Kicking Horse Pass, briefly crossing over into Yoho National Park over the Continental Divide on our 16km trail. This tour is for those of you who would like to experience the exhilaration of driving your own team the entire trip, as well as, being the only team on the trail. Your tandem sled accommodates 2 guests, with one sitting and the other driving. Standing behind you, at the second driver bow of the tandem sled, is your Guide/Interpreter, giving you on the fly instructions, telling you about each of the dogs and their unique personalities, and answering any questions you have about the rich history of your surroundings. Departs from Lake Louise at 2:00pm beginning in January. This private tour can accommodate a private group of up to 4 people max.

Narnia Tour

This tour is a favorite amongst our guests. The magical trail twists and winds through the deep woods, bursting out into an open meadow with the summit of Mt. Temple massif towering above. The 5 kms covered encompasses the most exquisite views in the area with glaciers tumbling off mountain sides. Departs daily from our staging area at 2:00pm, 3:00pm, and 4:00 pm. Available beginning in January

Winter Adventurer

Dogsled to the Great Divide and discover Lake Louise for a full day adventure! Our Great Divide – Winter Adventurer tour is tailored to guests that are staying in Banff that require transportation to our staging area in Lake Louise. Experience our popular Great Divide Dogsled Tour (1.5 hours/16km) and have time to explore the iconic Lake Louise; a pristine frozen lake and home to the ever- impressive Victoria Glacier. Upon your arrival to Lake Louise, you will travel to the Kicking Horse Pass at the Continental Divide by dogsled with your private guide. Afterwards you will have free time (2 hours) to explore Lake Louise and participate in your choice of activities. You can borrow snowshoes from us and explore the trails around the lake, sit and enjoy the scenery, or warm up with lunch inside the historic Chateau Lake Louise. Your day begins with pick up from your Banff hotel at 10:00am for the stunning drive to Lake Louise. A maple cookie snack and hot chocolate is included on your travels. After your day of adventure, you are then transported back to Banff just in time for dinner; approximately a 5:00pm arrival. Includes: Great Divide Dogsled Tour (1.5 hours), round-trip transportation with small snack and beverage, and complimentary use of snowshoes. The Great Alone Tour (with Transportation)

This is the private Great Divide tour with transportation.

Collected from your Banff lodgings at 10:00am, you will be transported in comfort along the scenic Highway 1A to Lake Louise for a noon arrival. A maple cookie snack and hot chocolate is provided. Upon your arrival at the iconic Chateau Lake Louise, you may spend your free time enjoying lunch within the historic Chateau Lake Louise, or explore the area with the use of our complimentary snowshoes before your private Great Divide 1.5 hour dogsled tour at 2:00pm. This private dogsled tour offers you the opportunity to drive your own sled the entire trip with a private guide riding at the second driving bow coaching you in the art of driving a dog team. Afterwards you will be transported back to your Banff lodging in time for dinner. Can accommodate 1 solo person, or a private group up to a maximum of 4 guests. Includes: Private Great Divide 1.5 hour Dogsled Tour, round-trip transportation with a small snack and beverage, and complimentary use of snowshoes. *Tour package not applicable to guests staying in Lake Louise.

Cancellation Policy

Groups 1-6 guests 72 hours, groups of 7+ requires 7 days notice of cancellation

Sleds

Our sleds are equipped with comfortable foam cushions and cozy sleeping bags, however please dress warmly.

Weight limitations

For those of us who can be described as robust, we recommend separate sleds for a more enjoyable sledding experience.
